
According to publications on the Facebook official careers page, the social media giant is looking to expand and hire more professionals for its blockchain team headed by former PayPal president, David Marcus.
The vacancies listed span from business product, business operations managers, data engineers, software engineers, technology communications directors among others. With this latest listing, Facebook’s intent in the emerging technology space is beyond questionable just as its CEO Mark Zuckerberg gave hints of interest in cryptocurrency’s underlying technology while speaking at a recent interview.

Are We close to ‘FaceCoin’?
Rumours of a likely launch of Facebook’s own stablecoin have also been given more weight, with a few sources citing the listing for a marketplace payments and blockchain specialist on the company’s official Linkedln profile as proof.
Though the post is no longer accepting applications, it gives further insight to news that Facebook is working on an in-app money transfer feature for its acquired sister app – WhatsApp.
